More than one million people are diagnosed with cancer annually, and nearly 40% are of working age. The opportunity to continue working during outpatient treatment is often a key source of normalcy and stability after a cancer diagnosis. Through candid interviews with cancer survivors, their employers and colleagues – as well as oncology and employment professionals – Cancer In The Workplace is an invaluable guide for human resource, personnel, management, and coworkers to help them provide a productive, encouraging environment that is compatible with the healing process.
Cancer In The Workplace is hosted by Tony and Golden Globe award-winning actor Barry Bostwick, a prostate cancer survivor. The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation is grateful to Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) for generous funding and support of this project; to FilmHouse for their production of the DVD; to the health, legal, and human resources professionals who contributed their time and expertise to this documentary; and to the many cancer survivors and employers who shared their stories.
The MPCF is currently distributing the DVD (free of charge) to human resources professionals and to anyone impacted by a cancer diagnosis in the workplace. For a complimentary copy of Cancer In The Workplace, please fill out the form below.
