Living on the Stem of Hope

By sharing her personal experiences as a 1992 breast cancer patient, Jane Main has given an uplifting account of her quest for wellness, filled with faith, humor and encouragement. It was written with the wish of helping patients, families and caregivers through the same challenges she and her family had faced when the words mastectomy, high dose chemotherapy with stem cell transplantation, and radiation therapy offered hope for her future. Other cancer treatments may present different specific challenges, but the spiritual theme that runs through all such journeys is easily detectable.
The book has been used nationally for patients by HCA Cancer Centers and Response Oncology, and is distributed by Ingram Book Company. Mrs. Main has designated a portion of the proceeds be donated to The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation.
