New Research Emerges in Soy Consumption Dec 26, 2009

In recent years, soy consumption has been touted as a healthful and beneficial food to add to one's diet.  However, there has also been a debate on whether or not breast cancer survivors should eat soy and soy-fortified foods, as some researchers think that soy, with its estrogen-like isoflavones, may in fact fuel tumor growth.  Our registered dietitian, Kimberly Petersen, RD, LDN, enjoyed this article that revisits the debate, and presents new research on soy.  As always, it is important to discuss your health concerns and questions with your physician.
